Saheli Sadanand

Saheli graduated from Yale with a Ph.D. in immunobiology in May 2014. While in grad school, she wrote a monthly science column for the Yale Daily News which highlighted scientific and medical advances and concerns that she found interesting and important. Topics included the importance of vaccines, the awesomeness of dinosaurs and survival strategies for science graduate students. Saheli started a post-doctoral fellowship at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard in Cambridge, MA in Aug 2014. Her current research focuses on understanding the development of optimally protective antibodies and (hopefully!) applying this knowledge to HIV vaccine and therapeutic design. When she’s not in lab, she likes reading, writing about science, watching sports and exploring the Cambridge/Boston area. Article suggestions and Boston restaurant recommendations are welcomed at saheli.sadanand@gmail.com.
